The JV Boys opened 2026 in style with two wins on the bounce, two clean sheets, and all smiles. The team started the season with successive non-conference shutout wins against Eastside Catholic and Tahoma. Only the March snow could slow their momentum.

Game 1: vs. Eastside Catholic (Final Score: Issaquah 8 - EC 0) Issaquah set the tone early on Tuesday, striking within the first five minutes thanks to junior Aidan Smith-Sletten. From there, the JV Eagles controlled every phase of the match, adding two more goals before halftime and keeping Eastside Catholic pinned in their own half for long stretches. The second half mirrored the first: dominant possession, quick ball movement, and relentless pressure. With Eastside Catholic unable to generate meaningful chances, Issaquah continued to pile on the goals en route to an 8-0 win.

Game 2: vs. Tahoma (Final Score: Issaquah 2 - Tahoma 0) On Thursday, Issaquah carried their strong form into a composed 2–0 win over Tahoma. The opening goal came inside the first 10 minutes, courtesy of Aidan Smith-Sletten, after sustained early pressure. The remainder of the first half featured steady possession but few clear chances in the final third. Issaquah nearly doubled the lead early in the second half, but the breakthrough didn’t come until the final 15 minutes, when sophomore Cyrus Chan slotted home the team’s second goal to secure the result. Defensively, Issaquah stayed organized and disciplined, closing out their second straight shutout to start the season.
