The JV Boys kept their undefeated run rolling with two more commanding wins this week, defeating Bothell and Hazen by a combined score of 15-1. Issaquah now sits at a perfect 8-0, boasting 38 goals scored and 2 conceded.
Game 1: vs. Bothell (8-1 Win)
IHS opened the week with another explosive performance, overpowering Bothell from the opening whistle. The attack flowed early and often, highlighted by junior Aiden Smith Sletten’s tone-setting hat trick. The team also celebrated a milestone moment as sophomore Sam Bamba scored his first goal of the season, a well‐earned finish that energized the sideline. Despite the lopsided scoreline, the match offered valuable teaching moments, particularly in maintaining shape and composure during long stretches of possession.
Game 2: vs. Hazen (7-0 Win)
On Thursday, Issaquah delivered one of their most complete performances of the year, blanking Hazen in a 7-0 shutout. Junior Oliver Wilson earned the start, helping anchor a back line that stayed organized and disciplined throughout. Behind them, freshman Ewan Hoffman came up with several sharp saves, preserving the clean sheet and keeping Hazen from gaining any momentum. It was a match that showcased the team’s depth, balance, and growing confidence as the season progresses.
