The Eagles split the week in their first set of conference matchups, finishing 1–1 against Mt. Si and Newport. Issaquah showed resilience in a key rivalry win on the road and gained valuable experience against a strong Newport side as the team continues to learn from each game, adjust and build consistency as conference play continues.

Game 1: Issaquah vs. Mt. Si

Final Score: 2–1 WIN (OT)

Issaquah made the trek to Mt. Si for a tough rivalry matchup, where wins have been hard to come by in recent years. Both teams came out ready to compete, with goalkeeper Andrew Condino making some early saves to hold off Mt. Si’s attack and keep the game level. The Eagles broke through late in the first half when Carson Yamada scored off an assist from Arman Herzog, giving Issaquah a 1–0 lead heading into halftime. Mt. Si responded in the second half to even the score at 1–1, and momentum began to shift late in regulation. The Eagles stayed composed defensively and battled through a physical match to force overtime. In a dramatic finish, Issaquah wasted no time as James Hutson scored a golden goal within the first minutes of overtime, securing a 2–1 victory and a huge road win for the Eagles.

Game 2: Issaquah vs. Newport

Final Score: Newport 5 – Issaquah 0

The Eagles faced a strong and physical Newport team in their second game of the week. Newport gained momentum early and capitalized on multiple opportunities, building a lead heading into halftime. Issaquah continued to compete in the second half, adjusting and rotating players to create new opportunities. Despite the scoreline, the team pushed forward, giving strong effort and intensity throughout the game. As the Eagles return home for the next stretch of conference play, the focus remains on consistency, execution, and continuing to build momentum.
