Issaquah Boys Varsity Soccer Keeps Rolling with Two More Wins

The Issaquah Boys Varsity Soccer team built strong momentum in Week 2 with two nonconference wins over Wenatchee and Lincoln, finishing the week 2–0. The Eagles continue to show growth on both sides of the ball, with improved chemistry, consistent attacking pressure, and solid defensive performances as they prepare to head into conference play in Week 3.
Game 1: Issaquah vs. Wenatchee
Final Score: 2–0 WIN
The Eagles opened the week with a strong, complete performance in a 2–0 shutout victory over Wenatchee. Junior Evan Rudolph got Issaquah on the board early, setting the tone for the match and giving the Eagles an early advantage. Goalkeeper Andrew Condino delivered a standout performance in goal, coming up with multiple key saves to preserve the shutout and keep momentum on Issaquah’s side throughout the game. Issaquah maintained control on both ends of the field, continuing to generate scoring opportunities and limit Wenatchee’s chances. The Eagles sealed the win with a goal from senior Carson Yamada, whose corner kick bent into the net for an impressive “Olympico” finish. Overall, it was a strong team performance as the Eagles continue to develop their attacking rhythm and defensive consistency.
Game 2: Issaquah vs. Lincoln
Final Score: 3–2 WIN
The Eagles faced a tough test against Lincoln in a high-energy, back-and-forth matchup. Lincoln struck first to take an early 1–0 lead, but Issaquah responded quickly with a goal from senior Isaac Jun to even the score at 1–1 heading into halftime. Issaquah came out strong in the second half, taking a 2–1 lead on a goal from junior PK Kumar off a well-executed corner kick. Lincoln answered once again, tying the game at 2–2 and setting up a tense final stretch. Andrew Condino made several key saves late in the match to keep the Eagles in position to win. With momentum building, sophomore Ethan Lavi delivered the game-winner, finding the back of the net to secure a 3–2 victory for Issaquah.
